We're looking for a dynamic and organized Assistant Manager to join our team at our 805 Salem Rd location in Mount Vernon. - Collaborate with the Store Manager to oversee daily store operations and ensure seamless functioning across all departments
- Deliver exceptional customer service by promptly and professionally addressing customer inquiries and concerns
- Support inventory management activities, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and organizing merchandise
- Train, supervise, and motivate team members to maintain high performance standards and foster a supportive work environment
- Ensure strict compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations
- Analyze sales data and assist in developing and implementing strategies to achieve sales goals and improve overall store performance
- Manage cash handling duties, including register operations, reconciliation, and bank deposits
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment that reflects our brand standards
- Assume Store Manager responsibilities during their absence, making key operational decisions as needed
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction
Qualifications
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, guide, and develop team members effectively
- Excellent customer service skills and a genuine passion for creating positive customer experiences
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities with the capacity to engage diverse audiences
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
- Excellent time management and organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Proficiency in computer applications and point-of-sale (POS) systems
- Previous retail or customer service experience required
- Management or supervisory experience preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in business or a related field preferred
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds regularly
- Knowledge of retail industry trends, best practices, and competitive landscape is a plus
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and performance metrics
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining individual accountability
- Resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced retail setting
