Job Description
We're looking for a reliable and customer-focused Delivery Driver to join our team at our Columbia location (3102 Green Meadows Way). In this role, you'll be the face of our organization, delivering quality service and smiles to our customers throughout the community. As a Delivery Driver, you'll play a crucial part in our mission to provide exceptional delivery experiences while maintaining efficiency and professionalism on every route.
- Safely operate a vehicle to deliver packages and products to customers in assigned routes throughout Columbia
- Plan and optimize delivery routes to ensure timely and efficient service to all customers
- Provide friendly, professional customer service and represent our organization positively at every stop
- Carefully handle and protect packages to ensure they arrive in excellent condition
- Maintain accurate delivery records, including signatures, timestamps, and customer feedback
- Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding route updates, delays, or customer concerns
- Perform vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues promptly
- Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies while operating a vehicle
- Build positive relationships with customers and address any delivery-related questions or concerns
- Meet daily delivery targets and performance goals while maintaining quality standards
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older with a valid driver's license
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable driving history
- Must pass a Motor Vehicle Record Check meeting company-specific standards
- Access to a reliable, insured vehicle suitable for delivery purposes
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency with GPS navigation systems and route planning tools
- Physical capability to safely lift, carry, and load packages
- Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and professional work ethic
- Customer-focused mindset with a positive attitude and friendly demeanor
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed
- Knowledge of traffic safety regulations and defensive driving practices
- Preferred: Previous delivery or customer service experience
