Job Description
We're looking for a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team in Albany, United States. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering packages to customers while maintaining the highest standards of service. As a Delivery Driver, you will be the face of our organization, ensuring every delivery is completed on time and with care. Your attention to detail, efficiency, and customer-focused approach will be essential to your success in this position.
- Operate delivery vehicles safely and in compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Plan and execute efficient delivery routes to meet daily schedules and customer expectations
- Load, unload, and transport packages securely to designated locations
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain customer signatures or confirmations
- Communicate professionally with customers, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safe operating condition
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues or safety concerns to management immediately
- Manage time effectively to complete all scheduled deliveries within assigned timeframes
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle interior and exterior
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle class being operated
- Clean driving record with no major violations
- Proven experience operating delivery or commercial vehicles
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Physical capability to perform repetitive bending, reaching, and climbing movements
- Reliability and consistent punctuality
- Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and route optimization tools (preferred)
- Experience with delivery management software or mobile applications (preferred)
