Job Description
We're looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Delivery Driver to join our team at our Scott AFB location (207 West Winters St). As a Delivery Driver, you'll be the face of our organization, delivering quality service and smiles to our customers throughout the community. - Safely operate a vehicle to deliver products to customers in assigned routes within the Scott AFB area and surrounding neighborhoods
- Navigate routes efficiently using GPS and local knowledge to optimize delivery times and fuel consumption
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers professionally, answering questions, and handling transactions with accuracy and courtesy
- Maintain accurate delivery records, including customer signatures, delivery times, and any special instructions or issues
- Inspect vehicle daily for mechanical issues, cleanliness, and safety compliance; report maintenance needs promptly
- Handle packages and products with care, ensuring items arrive in excellent condition
- Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding delays, route changes, or customer concerns
- Follow all traffic laws, company safety protocols, and vehicle operation guidelines
- Build positive relationships with customers and represent the organization's commitment to quality and reliability
- Organize and manage delivery schedules to meet daily targets while maintaining flexibility for urgent requests
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older with a valid driver's license
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable driving history
- Must pass a Motor Vehicle Record Check meeting company-specific standards
- Access to a reliable, insured vehicle suitable for delivery purposes
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
- Physical capability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 pounds regularly
- Familiarity with the Scott AFB area and local roads is a plus
- Proficiency with GPS navigation systems and basic mobile technology
- Valid proof of insurance for personal vehicle used for delivery
- A positive attitude, professional demeanor, and genuine commitment to customer satisfaction
- Ability to work independently while remaining responsive to team communication
