Job Description
We're looking for a reliable and customer-focused Delivery Driver to join our team at our Edwardsville location (120 E Vandalia St). In this role, you'll be the face of our organization, delivering quality service and smiles to our customers throughout the community. As a Delivery Driver, you'll play a crucial part in our mission to provide exceptional service while maintaining efficiency and professionalism on every route.
- Safely operate a vehicle to deliver products to customers in assigned routes within the Edwardsville area
- Plan and optimize delivery routes to ensure timely and efficient service to all customers
- Provide friendly, professional customer service and represent our organization positively at every stop
- Maintain accurate delivery records, including customer signatures and delivery confirmations
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Navigate using GPS and mapping systems while maintaining awareness of traffic conditions and road safety
- Handle cash and card transactions securely and accurately
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and management regarding delivery status and any customer concerns
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle interior and exterior
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations while driving
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older with a valid driver's license
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable driving history
- Must pass a Motor Vehicle Record Check meeting company-specific standards
- Access to a reliable, insured vehicle suitable for commercial delivery purposes
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
- Proficiency with GPS navigation systems and mobile technology
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
- Professional demeanor with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to lift and carry packages up to 50 pounds regularly
- Valid proof of insurance for personal vehicle used for delivery
- Willingness to pass a criminal background check
