Job Description
We are seeking an energetic and customer-focused Assistant Manager to join our team at our Dellwood location (10486 W Florissant Ave). As an Assistant Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth daily operations, delivering exceptional customer service, and supporting the store management team in achieving business goals.
- Oversee daily store operations and ensure efficient workflow during assigned shifts
- Provide outstanding customer service and resolve customer inquiries or concerns promptly
- Manage and motivate team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment
- Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate financial records
- Assist in inventory management and stock control
- Ensure store cleanliness and adherence to health and safety standards
- Train and develop new team members
- Support the implementation of company policies and procedures
- Assist in creating employee schedules and managing time-off requests
- Collaborate with the store manager to achieve sales targets and improve store performance
- Respond to and resolve employee issues or concerns
- Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail or food service management, preferably in an assistant manager role
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide team members
- Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Proficiency in cash handling and basic financial management
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make quick decisions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer proficiency, including point-of-sale systems and scheduling software
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training is a plus
