Job Description
We are seeking an Assistant Manager to join our team at 1001 W Fayette Ave. in Effingham, United States. In this role, you will support the store manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving team performance.
- Assist in managing daily store operations and ensuring smooth workflow
- Support the store manager in achieving sales targets and implementing company policies
- Supervise and motivate staff members to maintain high performance standards
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and resolve issues promptly
- Participate in inventory management and stock control
- Assist in staff scheduling, training, and development
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security regulations
- Contribute to creating a positive work environment and fostering team collaboration
- Perform administrative tasks such as reporting and record-keeping
- Step in for the store manager when necessary
Qualifications
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Customer service-oriented mindset
- Proficiency in time management and multitasking
- Computer literacy, including familiarity with MS Office suite
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
