Job Description
We're looking for a reliable and customer-focused Delivery Driver to join our team in Harrisburg, PA. As a Delivery Driver, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring our customers receive their orders accurately and on time, while representing our company with professionalism and a friendly attitude.
- Safely transport and deliver products to customers' homes and businesses
- Verify customer orders and collect payments when required
- Navigate efficiently through assigned delivery routes using maps and GPS technology
- Maintain a clean and organized delivery vehicle
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members
- Handle and resolve customer inquiries or concerns in a professional manner
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies
- Assist with loading and unloading deliveries as needed
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel expenditures
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and report any issues promptly
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18
- Valid driver's license with a minimum of 1 years of driving experience
- Clean driving record that meets company standards (no more than 2 traffic violations within the last 3 years)
- Access to a reliable, insured vehicle suitable for deliveries
- Excellent navigational skills and familiarity with map reading and GPS technology
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and navigate different types of terrain, including multi-story buildings
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and processing payments
- Physical ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 pounds
- Flexible availability to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving skills to handle unexpected situations on the road
