Job Description
We are seeking a professional and organized Assistant Manager to join our team at our store located at 2495 Lincoln Highway East Unit 21 in Lancaster. As an Assistant Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations, leading staff, and ensuring exceptional customer service.
- Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations and staff management
- Lead, train, and motivate team members to maintain high performance standards
- Ensure excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Manage inventory levels, conduct regular stock checks, and place orders as needed
- Handle cash transactions, deposits, and financial reporting accurately
- Implement and maintain merchandising standards to optimize sales and store appearance
- Assist in creating employee schedules and managing time-off requests
- Enforce company policies and procedures to maintain a safe and compliant work environment
- Analyze sales data and contribute to strategies for improving store performance
- Step in for the Store Manager in their absence, making key decisions as needed
Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail or customer service, with supervisory experience preferred
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide team members
- Excellent customer service skills and a customer-focused mindset
- Proficiency in inventory management and cash handling procedures
- Solid problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Computer proficiency, including experience with POS systems and scheduling software
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Knowledge of retail operations and store management practices
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
