Job Description
We're looking for a reliable and customer-focused Delivery Driver to join our team in Independence, Louisiana. As a Delivery Driver, you'll be the face of our organization, delivering products directly to our valued customers while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and service. - Deliver products safely and on time to customers within the designated Independence delivery area
- Navigate routes efficiently using maps and GPS technology to locate addresses and optimize delivery schedules
- Safely operate and maintain your delivery vehicle, ensuring it meets all safety and insurance requirements
- Communicate professionally with customers, answering questions and addressing concerns with a friendly demeanor
- Handle cash transactions accurately and securely, making correct change and processing payments
- Load and unload products from your vehicle, carrying items safely while navigating various terrains, including multi-story buildings and adverse weather conditions
- Maintain detailed delivery records and complete associated paperwork accurately and promptly
- Represent our organization positively through professional appearance and courteous interactions
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues or safety concerns immediately to management
- Meet strict quality control standards and delivery time commitments consistently
- Adapt to changing conditions and handle unexpected challenges with resilience and problem-solving skills
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a safe driving record meeting company standards (REQUIRED)
- Access to an insured vehicle in good working condition that can be used for delivery purposes (REQUIRED)
- Proven ability to navigate using maps and GPS technology to locate addresses within designated delivery areas
- Strong navigational and directional skills to handle multi-story buildings, private residences, and various delivery sites
- Excellent customer communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations accurately, including making correct monetary change
- Physical capability to lift, carry, and transport products weighing up to 50 pounds, navigate stairs, and work in varying weather conditions
- Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple deliveries
- Reliable and punctual with a commitment to meeting delivery schedules and deadlines
- Ability to work independently while maintaining professional standards and company policies
- Problem-solving skills and resilience to handle unexpected situations calmly and efficiently
- Professional appearance and demeanor with a customer-focused mindset
- Ability to handle cash and secure transactions responsibly
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends as needed
- Valid vehicle insurance and compliance with all local driving regulations
- Preferred: Previous delivery or customer service experience
