Job Description
We're looking for a reliable and customer-focused Delivery Driver to join our team at our Columbia location (1500 Interstate 70 Dr. SW). In this role, you'll be the face of our organization, delivering quality service and smiles to our customers throughout the community. As a Delivery Driver, you'll play a crucial part in our mission to provide exceptional service while maintaining efficiency and professionalism on every route.
- Safely operate a vehicle to deliver products to customers in assigned delivery areas within Columbia and surrounding regions
- Plan and execute efficient delivery routes to meet time management goals and customer expectations
- Provide friendly, professional customer service at each delivery stop, ensuring a positive brand experience
- Verify delivery addresses, customer information, and order accuracy before completing transactions
- Maintain organized records of deliveries, customer interactions, and vehicle maintenance
- Handle products with care and ensure items arrive in excellent condition
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and management regarding delivery status, delays, or customer concerns
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues promptly
- Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies while operating a vehicle
- Build positive relationships with customers and represent the organization professionally at all times
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older with a valid driver's license
- Minimum 2 years of driving history with a clean Motor Vehicle Record meeting company-specific standards
- Access to a reliable, insured vehicle suitable for delivery operations
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and Motor Vehicle Record verification
- Strong time management and organizational skills to prioritize multiple deliveries efficiently
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-focused mindset
- Physical capability to safely lift, carry, and deliver packages of varying sizes
- Reliability and punctuality with a commitment to meeting delivery schedules
- Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and willingness to go the extra mile for customers
- Familiarity with local Columbia area roads and neighborhoods (preferred)
- Experience in delivery, logistics, or customer service roles (preferred)
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
