Job Description
We're looking for a dedicated and organized Dishwasher to join our team in State College, United States. As a Dishwasher, you'll play a vital role in maintaining our kitchen's cleanliness and efficiency by ensuring a constant supply of clean, sanitized dishware and cookware. This is a fast-paced position where you'll work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff to support smooth daily operations. - Collect soiled dishes, pans, utensils, and cookware from the kitchen and wash them thoroughly using proper cleaning procedures and food safety standards
- Ensure all washed items are properly dried and stored in their designated locations for easy access by kitchen staff
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe dish pit area at all times, including proper storage of cleaning chemicals
- Clean and sanitize kitchen appliances and equipment, including ovens, prep tables, and other cooking surfaces
- Sweep and mop floors throughout the kitchen and dish pit areas, paying special attention to spills and hazards
- Empty trash receptacles and rinse garbage cans regularly to maintain sanitation standards
- Support other team members by assisting with additional tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly
- Ensure the dining area and kitchen line are properly set up at opening, during service, and at closing
- Maintain compliance with all food safety regulations and procedures at all times
- Assist throughout the closing process
Qualifications
**Required Qualifications:**
- Minimal to no prior dishwashing experience (comprehensive on-the-job training provided)
- Ability to stand or walk for extended shifts (8-10 hours) and lift at least 30 pounds regularly
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional time management and organizational abilities
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a busy, fast-paced environment
- Willingness to comply with all food safety procedures and regulations
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Positive attitude and genuine pride in your work
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

Late night availability and weekend availability is required.
