Job Description

Must be local to Ann Arbor, MI

On-Site Tuesday-Thursday, Remote Monday and Friday

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

 

(60%)  Prepare timely and accurate financial statements and supplemental reports for the Global Supply Chain Division and perform analytics as requested by internal customers and management.

  • Review period end close packages and associated financial statements for the global supply chain business.
  • Act as a resource to internal customers on financial statements and audit requests.
  • Ensure statements are timely and accurate and are consistent with DPLLC Standards and GAAP.
  • ·   Ensure that all operations and financial personnel receive scheduled reporting on time.
  • ·    Prepare forecasts and performance analysis as requested.
  • ·    Review bonus, vacation, and holiday liabilities quarterly and update as necessary.
  • ·    Ensure periodic computations with respect to period profit sharing are correct and mailed to franchisees on a timely basis.
  • ·    Review balance sheet schedules and certifications.
  • ·    Clearly communicate SCC accounting changes (accounting policies & team updates) to all SCC stakeholders.
  • Assist with ensuring SOX documentation related to supply chain accounting processes (process flows, narratives, etc.) are kept current.
  • Assist with ensuring SOX procedures are appropriately followed and controls are maintained.  Ensure there are no significant deficiencies or material weaknesses, as defined by the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002.

 

(10%)  Assist with new system implementations or upgrades as well as special projects as needed 

·   Assist in testing new systems or system upgrades.

·   Assist in ensuring new systems adhere to Domino’s accounting standards.

·   Assist in ensuring strong internal controls are in place when systems go-live.

·   Assist accounting center management or other internal customers with analysis of financial impact on certain projects.

·   Assist with ad-hoc projects as deemed necessary.

 

(10%)  Develop and maintain adequate systems of review and internal accounting controls to prevent misappropriation or error.

·    Develop controls to ensure review function is occurring and policies and procedures are adhered to. (Update processes on the period close review checklists as needed).

·    Provide recommendations on improving the management and security of DPLLC assets.

 

(20%)  Manage general ledger team members which include recruiting and training while also providing resources, goals, and direction.

·   Coordinate training to ensure team members receive thorough Supply Chain Accounting training.

·    Evaluate performance of team members in compliance with DPLLC job performance and review policies.

·   Manage direct reports responsible for SCC general ledger duties.

  • Coordinate GL team decisions with GL Unit Controllers and Divisional management.

 

Qualifications

  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Bachelors degree in accounting or finance required
  • Minimum of 3 years prior experience in accounting or finance
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, communication skills
  • Experience with management reporting
  • Self-Motivated and able to work independently
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Work, and database applications
  • PeopleSoft Financials and HFM experience a plus
