Job Details

The ERP Systems Manager is responsible for the support, enhancements, and ongoing maintenance of the SAP S/4HANA application. This role leads several teams including functional support analysts, development, integration, Basis, and security.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

                                          

(30%) Lead the design, build, test & deployment of all development objects for the DPZ Supply Chain SAP ERP Implementation.

  • Work with product owners to ensure complete requirements are captured and documented for effective technical delivery of RICEFWs.
  • Coordinate with PMO team to ensure technology deliverables are reviewed and signed-off in a timely manner.
  • Prepare project estimates and resource plans for development deliverables
  • Lead the SAP development and integration teams to test and implement change requests and projects, monitoring project progress from start to finish.
  • Manage contract resources for design, develop, build, test, implementation for all development objects & master data conversions.
  • Provide cross functional & technical leadership; actively engage with functional architects, stakeholders and third-party vendors. Ensure that standard options are proposed; avoiding customization while continuing to satisfy business needs.

 

(20%) Manage the level 2 support and testing team.

  • Manage Level 2 functional analysts responsible for providing daily production support and Systems Integration Testing efforts performed for each site go-live.
  • Use ServiceNow to oversee end-user support, monitor and report on ticket volume trends, and build self-sufficiency via documentation in the Knowledge Base.
  •  Diagnose business processes, identify improvement opportunities, prescribe improvement strategies, and guide the improvement effort.
  •  Design, Build & deploy KPIs /Alerts to monitor business processes & technical health. Monitor KPIs to drive proactive resolutions for incidents.

 

(20%) Maintain the cloud-hosted systems to remain compliant with security patching and updates to facilitate system health and performance.  S4, IBP, Ariba, PI, Solution Manager.

  • Establish and maintain regular system health checks and monthly maintenance patching schedule.
  • Serve as the point of contact for the Cloud hosting provider to manage all technical operations services (contractually provided and billable).
  •  Liaise with product owners and training team to gain alignment on system downtimes required for patching and other required updates.
  • Ensure systems are current and consistent to remain supportable in a hosted environment.
  •  Serve as the escalation point for SAP incidents, providing on-call support as necessary.

 

(20%) Project management, team member development, change and release management.

  • Working closely with the Enterprise Architecture team, this role manages several projects such as S4 HANA Upgrades, Disaster Recovery, DB/OS patching etc. This will involve coordinating with multiple internal & external resources (including hosting providers) to manage deliverables and project timelines.
  • Coordinate all SOX/Audit technical reviews for SAP & non-SAP applications. Work closely with security and other cross-functional SMEs to help resolve compliance violations, pen testing & mitigations etc.
  • Manage a blended resource model including employees, onshore and offshore contractors, and AMS vendors.
  •  Provide performance-related feedback to strengthen the team’s knowledge. Monitor and build bench depth and cross training to grow team members’ careers and reduce risk to the project.
  • Facilitate the CHaRM process in Solution Manager; review required testing documentation and import approved changes into production systems.

 

(10%) Manage the SAP GRC security resources, ensuring roles and procedures are compliant, scalable, and supportable. 

  • Participate in role review processes, refine business needs and facilitate moving changes to production.
  •  Support Internal Audit requests and SOX control requirements.
  •  Review and approve Firefighter access requests and audit logs.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in ABAP Development, SAP middleware & integrations, and/or Basis.
  • Minimum 5 years of overall experience developing and configuring solutions in SAP
  •  3+ years of configuration experience in Sales & Distribution & EWM (or WM) modules is a plus
  • Strong ABAP debugging, ABAP query reporting, mass data upload and problem-solving skills are required
  • Strong knowledge of SAP Middleware technologies including PO/PI & CPI
  • Broad knowledge and configuration experience of supply chain processes & associated SAP technologies for Order to Cash & Warehouse Management. S4 Finance experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge about IDOC, BAPI/RFC and third-party system integration is desirable.
  •  Strong SAP application, interface and code development knowledge from basic ABAP through advanced technologies like user exits, function modules, BADIs, Proxies, SAP Cloud extensions, BTP build, CI/CD for SAP cloud development, Cloud foundry and ABAP etc.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Computer Science or Information Systems
  • Proven track record of process development, systems optimization and continuous improvement
  • Proven track record for managing contractors both off-shore and on-shore
  • Strong communication (oral/written), analytical, and presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence business process & technical owners to adopt changes & standards
  •  Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
  •  Ability to work independently, owning and managing several initiatives at once
  •  Ability to provide thought leadership on best practices around enterprise application integrations
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, especially Excel and Access
  • Ability to travel – 10%
