Job Details

Provides proactive leadership and strategic vision in building a culture of Food Safety across the Global Enterprise. Responsible for mitigating food safety risk by driving Domino’s corporate global food safety strategy with the potential to work with key stakeholders and partners to build out a compliance and regulatory function. Stewards the implementation and adherence to all aspects of food safety programs including but not limited to, adherence to food safety laws, and regulations (USA & Canada), establishing plans for crisis management, refinement, and deployment of Domino’s global farm to fork food safety standards in partnership with Master Franchisees, and establishing global governance / auditing.  The position is also responsible for USA Technical services, partnering with R&D on product development and supplier / product quality.  Partner with other departments to support the introduction of new products and approval of vendors.  This position leads the Global Food Safety and Compliance Steering Committee.


Lead Global Store, Supplier and Supply Chain QA functions

  • Oversee the Leadership for Global FSQA. This includes strategic leadership of FSQA Directors and overseeing Supply Chain, Supplier and Store food safety for the US, Canada and consulting with Master Franchisees to do the same, abroad.
  • Provide leadership in establishing Food Safety standards by collaborating with other member of management and with Operations, Engineering, and other support functions.
  •  Ensure the FSQA Teams have established product quality documentation systems
  • Provide strategic direction in the product quality initiatives to ensure stores and SCCs are enforcing policies and procedures and regulatory requirements (USA & Canada).
  •  Provide guidance to the FSQA Teams who manage 3rd party audit preparation and supplier audits, as well as 3rd party labs for testing as needed
  • Influence senior leadership and collaborate with key stakeholders to lead the development of food safety strategies to drive food safety culture and continuous improvement plans
  • Oversee the communication on specification design / product innovation and maintain specifications on all products (USA & Canada)
  • Strategic leadership of International FSQA support and lead the Center of Excellence (COE) including consulting Domino’s Pizza International Master Franchisees to assure store products are manufactured and distributed  in compliance with the different regulatory compliance standards in all international countries
  • Oversee the creation and implementation of quality system documentation program that serves as the repository for Domino’s Pizza standard practices ensuring alignment with applicable regulations
  • Lead the strategic initiatives by developing and leading the design of data management systems to ensure data integrity and compliance to requirements are appropriately validated and maintained.


Direct and mitigate all Risk and Food Safety Liability Issues

  • Proactively conduct annual risk assessments to identify potential food safety/quality risks
  • Lead strategic initiatives that will reduce product incidents including all product related complaints through customer care, direct from franchisees, store personnel, or consumer calls
  •  Lead the development and strategic vision for business contingency planning and FSQA crisis management.
  •  Establish KPIs to monitor progress and drive improvement


  • Extensive experience with leading teams in the Product QA Area preferably in the QSR industry and/or global iconic food brand, experience both domestically and globally.
  • 15+ plus years of leadership experience in food service processing and distribution environment required. 
  • Experience working directly with franchisees is highly desired.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field (Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Engineering) required.  Master’s degree preferred. Food Safety certifications are preferred.
  • International FSQA experience desired
  • Demonstrated expertise in analyzing information, reporting research results, promoting process improvement, developing standards, managing processes, manufacturing methods and procedures
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking ability with the strategic ability to think ‘big picture’.
  • Excellent communication, organizational and presentation skills desired
  • Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to positively influence team members, support department team members, franchisees, 3rd party vendors and upper management.
  • Strong technical background including understanding of Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) schemes HACCP, GMP, SOP, SSOP, microbiology and sanitation principles, regulatory compliance and auditing systems.
  • Creative problem solving with the ability to recommend and implement solutions, relationship building and decision-making skills
  • Outstanding people and relationship building skills and ability to interact effectively with various constituencies
  • Ability to coach, provide feedback and develop a team
  • Experience in managing budget and meeting financial objectives.
  • Travel (U.S. and International) approximately 25% - 50%
