Job Description

The Strategic US Development team is critical in filling the future Domino’s pipeline with new store growth in the U.S. by successfully pairing new store opportunities with available real estate and designated franchisees. The Strategic Development team leverages their knowledge and understanding of opportunities, their ability to lead franchisees through the benefits of building new stores, and their relationships with the mapping and analysis team, franchise business consultants and directors, and franchisees.

Domino’s is looking for results-driven candidates with excellent interpersonal skills, experience in understanding store-level P&Ls, cost-benefit analysis, and ability to develop and maintain positive business relationships with franchisees and internal teams.

Main responsibilities

Manage Opportunities and Leads  (70%)

  • Actively manage opportunities in a designated region including reviewing and understanding the geographic, demographic, and financial analysis of each identified opportunity.
  • Actively manage each franchisee lead status in a designated region by aligning with the franchise business consultant and franchise business director on a period basis.
  • Align with FBCs to identify and understand each franchisee’s operational, organizational and financial capabilities (Strategic Development Plan – new stores, relocations, acquisitions, builds and succession plans) as a Domino’s franchisee.
  • Understand the impact of the opportunity for the designated franchisee and provide any additional information and data to support the opportunity.
  • Identify available real estate in partnership with regional real estate manager and franchise business consultants.
  • Review and align with franchise business consultants on leading franchisees through targeted new store greenspace and realignment opportunities.
  • Collaborate with FBCs, FBDs and Legal on Term Sheet and Development Agreement creation and approval.
  • Update activity and current-status of each opportunity in Domino’s Connect (Salesforce) on a period basis.
  • Provide weekly, period and quarterly reporting of current opportunities statuses in the sales process.

Support Selling Opportunities  (30%)

  • Partner with FBCs to assist and help lead sales discussions with franchisees for new store opportunities.
  • Travel to franchisees in market to help lead sales discussions in person when time and budget allow. Collaborate with the Real Estate Team and Construction Team for real estate and construction project visits while traveling.
  • Identify and present store level and enterprise level unit economics and benefits of building new stores.
  • Identify franchisee objections and provide data and facts to support the new store build opportunities.
  • Identify real estate for opportunities utilizing online tools, broker and developer relationships, Domino’s real estate managers and traveling in-market for real estate searches.


  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in development, operations, marketing or sales
  • Ability to understand store-level P&L and financial analysis
  • Experience presenting in front of audiences
  • Ability to develop and nurture business relationships with franchisees and internal business partners (mapping and analysis, franchise business consultants and directors, legal, construction)
  • Ability to create and sell a business case for growth
  • Ability to manage details while maintaining a broad perspective on overall business goals
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organization, written and verbal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with Salesforce is preferred
  • Ability to travel – up to 30%
