Job Description
Summary of Duties: Primarily focus on enhancing existing forecast models and their deployment through API design and optimization, as well as measuring simulated impact of sales and service for different levels of labor. Contribute to sales, supply chain, electronic food ordering, and labor forecast technical designs and implementations. Collaborate on forecast model design and testing. Interpret model results and impacts for clients. Partner with IT specialists on data and model staging, integrating with existing platforms, and improving technical and operational algorithm and data uses. Use understanding of business and challenges to identify business opportunities that can be acted upon. Further development and innovation of predictive modeling to support field organization. Identify and apply best analytic and statistical techniques to evolve internal proprietary field marketing and operations tools. Develop communications for business partners to maximize analytical impact. Consult with manager and internal clients on enhancements that will benefit organization and lead to sales and profit growth. Mine and synthesize across data sources to help address opportunities leveraging SQL, R/Python, and machine learning algorithms.

Qualifications
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related quantitative field of study and 5 years of progressive experience in the job offered defined as Data Science, Business Analytics, or any combination thereof. Employer will accept a Master’s degree or equivalent in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related quantitative field of study and 2 years of experience in the job offered defined as Data Science, Business Analytics, or any combination thereof in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 5 years of progressive experience. Employer will accept pre- or post-Master’s degree experience. All experience must be post-Bachelor’s degree.
Applicants must have demonstrated experience with the following:
- solving business problems with data science, emphasis on business outcomes;
- SQL;
- applied experience with R or Python;
- manipulating data and draw insights from large data sets;
- working with and creating data architectures;
- predictive modeling and machine learning techniques and their real-world application;
- statistical techniques and concepts (such as regression, probability, properties of distributions, statistical tests) and hands-on experience with statistical applications; and
- creating stories and presentations from data..
